About
Our story
GreenInvestGuide does not sell anything; it exists to provide truly independent information and advice about investing in projects and products which are generally considered ‘green’ or good for our climate change agenda.
There is much written about all shades of green initiatives, from the now defunct Green Deal to investment in onshore wind to the relative merits of Electric Vehicles. Unfortunately, much of what is published, or broadcast is laden with a political slant and/or commercial bias, which can divide opinion between climate activists and those who are not. David Cameron’s rapid hop scotching from enthusiastic climate change champion to dismissing investments in renewables as ‘green crap’ is but one example of how the rhetoric can be unhelpful, divisiveand misleading.
This site will provide neutral guidance on the facts. It serves to help companies, organisations (like schools) and individual investors, to better understand how ‘green’ projects or investments work and what are their true (real or likely) returns.
Our independent advisory team has over 100 years of collective experience in investing, banking/finance and project delivery. Of course, we have made plenty of mistakes along the way but between us we know what works and what doesn’t. We can help you understand the difference between the truth and unsubstantiated selling messages. Whether you’re a company, a school, a homeowner or just investing your own money, we hope you will find this site useful.
